We caught up with Tina Chu, who recently added the Orlando Side Table to her space.
After following Tina’s new build journey over on Instagram (@ourcosyhomenz) and seeing some of the magic she had made with a few of her fave nood pieces, we were thrilled she chose the Orlando as a finishing touch for her living room.
Grab a cuppa and keep scrolling as we get Tina’s take on all things styling and how Orlando completed the look.
What drew you to the Orlando Side Table?
“During our new build, we found ourselves popping into nood all the time, it quickly became our favourite go-to spot for finding pieces we loved!
When I saw Orlando for the first time I was instantly drawn to its timelessness. There were two size options and oak or dark ash colourways to choose from.
The dark ash felt really warm and inviting and nodded back to other bits we have in the space. The proportions also felt right with our existing armchair.”
Speaking of existing pieces, how did Orlando fit into the feel of the room?
“The round shape of the table makes it perfect for everyday living and what I really love is how versatile it is.
We played around with pairing neutral tones for a minimalist look and also switching things up by layering in textures or bolder tones. It’s so easy to style that we feel like we can easily mix it up whenever we want to change out other décor in our lounge like the cushions or throws.
The Ball Vase sits so nicely on top as a styling piece that still provides enough room for everyday pieces on the table, and it compliments the lighter-toned furniture we have in the room. Love how it can be filled with stems or left as an ornament on its own.”
And how does the space feel now?
“The Orlando completed the corner nook that just needed ‘something’. Because the base is open rather than being a solid piece, it looks a lot lighter on the eye. I opted for the larger size of the two, and I’m really glad we did. It’s the perfect fit for a couple of vases or books and of course a hot drink, without being too bulky!
As you move around the lounge, its walnut finish catches your eye and the closer you look the more subtle details you notice. I love how we can see it when we are watching tv too.”
Wondering how Orlando could work in your space?
The large Orlando Side Table in Dark Ash is just one of the five styles and two tones to choose from, so it’s safe to say you’re spoilt for choice! The Console has been popular for those tricky hallway spaces and the Coffee Table in both round or rectangle is the perfect grounding piece to centre your lounge.
