Collecting information about you
There may be times (such as when you purchase or order a product, participate in contests or promotions, join and participate in our noodist membership) when we will ask you to provide personal information such as your name, shipping/billing address, telephone number, email address, and credit card information. We may also maintain a record of your product purchases and details of your browser session.
Whether or not you provide your personal information is completely your own choice.If you choose not to provide the information we request, we may be unable to sell products to you and you may be unable to access certain services, offers and content on our website. We may need to contact you via phone, email or postal address to ask questions or address issues specific to your order, even if you have opted to not receive communications from us.
We may also collect personal information from publicly available sources and third party services, including advertising platforms (such as Google, Meta/Facebook), analytics tools, and our e-commerce platform (Shopify). This may include data about your browsing behaviour, demographics, your name, email address, purchases, and interests.
Purpose for collecting information about you
We collect your personal information so that we can:
- provide you with our products and related services and to operate our business;
- confirm and track your order;
- enhance and personalise your shopping experience with us;
- set up and manage your noodist membership;
- communicate with you, including about our goods, services and offers which might interest you;
- analyse trends and statistics, including for targeted advertising purposes;
- provide and improve our advertising and marketing to you and others who may be interested in our products;
- process payments by or to you in connection with our products;
- create invoices or receipts;
- deliver our customer service and manage any of your feedback.
Using information about you
To serve you better, we may combine information you give us online or in our stores.
We use information about you to enhance and personalise your shopping experience with us, to communicate with you about our products and events that may be of interest to you, and for other promotional purposes. You will always be able to unsubscribe from receiving marketing communications at any time by using the unsubscribe function or contacting us.
We only retain your personal information for as long as we need it to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected (or for directly related purposes) or as otherwise required by law.
We may contract with companies or persons to provide certain services including credit card processing, shipping, data management, promotional services, etc. We call them service providers. We supply our service providers with your personal information needed for them to perform these services. Some of our service providers such as Google, Shopify, Klaviyo, and Meta may store or process personal information outside New Zealand. We carefully select service providers that maintain appropriate privacy and security standards. Where personal information is disclosed overseas, we will take reasonable steps to ensure it is protected by safeguards comparable to those required under New Zealand privacy law or obtain your express authorisation
We may use and disclose your personal information, including your name, email address, purchase history and online activity, to our advertising and marketing partners such as Meta, Google, Pinterest and TikTok for digital advertising purposes, including to:
- deliver personalised advertising;
- measure and improve our advertising effectiveness;
- identify prospective customers who may be interested in our products.
Although unlikely, in certain instances we may disclose your personal information when we have reason to believe that it is necessary to identify, contact or bring legal action against persons or entities who may be causing injury to you, to nood (new objects of desire) or to others. We may also disclose your personal information when we believe the law requires it.

Cookies are small files that a website can send to your computer which can be stored on your hard drive (persistent cookies) or in memory (session cookies). Cookies store information about your preferences on a particular website and can remain on your computer once you have exited from that website.
We use cookies to analyse website traffic patterns and use to help us develop the design and layout of our website and to tailor advertising to you when you visit our website - specifically, we use Google Analytics, Google Adwords, and Google Adwords Remarketing. Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics software to help measure traffic patterns to, from, and within our website. Google Analytics anonymously monitors IP addresses and aggregates website statistics such as the number of page views, the number of visitors, time spent on our site, browser types, and common entry and exit points into and from the website. All information is aggregated by Google Analytics and provided to us to help us better understand the usage of our website – no individual visitors are identified. Google Analytics is a leader in the internet industry and its systems have been adopted as an accepted website traffic measurement standard amongst major internet sites.
Reports we receive from Google Analytics may include the following features:
- Analysis of our paid digital advertising on other websites. This gives us insight into advertising views and helps us optimise and tailor our advertising.
- Analysis of our website use relating to visitor age, gender and interests overall. This anonymised information helps us to understand browsing behaviour to help us with our marketing and give visitors a better experience whilst visiting our site.
- Integration of our advertising and website analysis. This allows us to tailor our advertising to ensure the right types of offers are shown to you while you are using the internet outside our website.
